Our client is seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher – Visually Impaired (TVI) in Glendale, AZ area.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
CLIENT'S REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Arizona Teaching Certificate with a Special Education - Visually Impaired (K–12) endorsement.
- Knowledge of Braille, low vision strategies, and assistive technology for students with visual impairments.
- Experience in individualized instruction and collaboration within multidisciplinary educational teams.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY:
- Assess & plan individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
- Provide direct instruction in Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive techniques for academic and life skills.
- Collaborate with general/special educators, families, and related service providers.
- Adapt curriculum & materials into accessible formats (Braille, large print, digital, tactile).
- Monitor progress & document student performance and goal achievement.
